GIUSA Surf School

GIUSA Surf School is based at Cloud 9 in General Luna, putting students within walking distance of Siargao's best-known break. Lessons are taught by certified instructors in small groups, with a maximum of two students per instructor.

Beginner lessons cover paddling, pop-ups and wave reading in a safety-first format, while intermediate and advanced surfers can book personalised coaching on technique, wave selection and bigger conditions. Local guides also run surf guiding sessions for experienced surfers who want to be taken to the right break for their level and the day's conditions. Every lesson includes a short discussion on ocean awareness and environmental respect.

The school keeps a quiver of more than 20 boards, from longboards to shortboards, for rental to students and independent surfers. Bookings are handled directly by WhatsApp or Instagram, seven days a week. It suits first-timers who want close attention, and visiting surfers who need boards or a guide near Cloud 9.
