SPF Surfcoaching

SPF Surfcoaching is a small surf school based in Catangnan, General Luna, founded and led by head coach Allan Derecho. The team brings around two decades of experience, from Philippine national championships to ISA judging, and works mainly around Cloud 9 and the surrounding breaks.

Rather than running large group classes, SPF focuses on small student-to-coach ratios and matches each session to swell, tide and the surfer's goals. Services include kids and family coaching for children from four years old, surf guiding, progression coaching from first pop-ups through to competition heats, video analysis, drone footage and photography, surfskate sessions, land coaching and surf-fitness programmes.

Sessions run daily between 6am and 4pm depending on conditions, with bookings and meeting points arranged by Instagram message or email. It suits families looking for a safety-led introduction for children, and intermediate to competitive surfers who want structured technical coaching rather than a standard beginner lesson.
