Rip Curl School of Surf

Rip Curl School of Surf is one of Bali's longest-established and most trusted surf schools, operating out of Kuta and Legian since the early 2000s. Backed by the globally recognised Rip Curl brand, the school is fully certified by the International Surfing Association (ISA) and is the only ISA and IKO certified surf school in Indonesia.

Lessons run daily for beginners and intermediate surfers, with small group sizes ensuring personal attention from qualified instructors. The school uses quality equipment including foam softboards for beginners and offers board rental and surf guiding for more experienced surfers exploring Bali's breaks.

Located steps from the world-famous Kuta Beach, one of the best beginner surf spots in the world, Rip Curl School of Surf is the ideal starting point for your Indonesian surf journey. Alongside Kuta and Legian, the school runs bases in Sanur (where its main office is, at Hotel Prama Beach), Jimbaran, Canggu and Yeh Gangga, and as well as surfing it teaches foiling, wing surfing, kitesurfing and stand-up paddleboarding.
