Stoked Surf Bali is a surf camp based on Kuta Beach, the long sandy beach break that makes the Kuta, Tuban and Legian strip one of the easiest places in Bali to learn. Lessons run every day, timed around the tides, and the school will move sessions to Sanur or Nusa Dua when the season or conditions suit those beaches better.
Beginners can choose small-group lessons (no more than four students per instructor) from US$37 for one day down to US$147 for five days, or private lessons for one or two people from US$58 a day. Kids' lessons follow the private format, and children from around four can join if the level is right. Each session lasts about two and a half hours and covers ocean safety, surf etiquette and how waves break before moving on to paddling, the pop-up and riding whitewater. Board, leash, rash vest and a cold drink are included; hotel transfers can be added for a fee.
For a full trip, the surf-and-stay packages bundle hotel accommodation, one lesson a day, breakfast and pick-up from the airport, Tuban, Kuta, Legian, Seminyak or Jimbaran: three days and two nights from US$175 per person twin share, five days from US$260 and seven days from US$425. Surfers who can already catch green waves can book half-day or full-day guided surf tours (from US$20 to US$78 per person depending on group size), with a local guide choosing the break to match the swell. Bookings are taken by WhatsApp.
