Dikaloha Surfcamp & SurfSchool is a locally owned surf stay in Medewi, the quiet surf village on Bali's west coast known for its long left-hand point. Founded by local surfers, it combines simple beachside accommodation with a surf school, a shared kitchen and a relaxed common area. Medewi is about two and a half to three hours' drive from Canggu or Denpasar.

Single surf lessons cost IDR 400,000 and last up to two hours, including warm-up, a safety briefing, in-water coaching and video feedback, with board, leash, wax, rash guard and drinking water provided. Group lessons are kept to a maximum of two students per instructor, and the coaches move between a few spots depending on conditions and your level. Rooms range from a beachside hostel option to ocean-view budget rooms and standard doubles, with air-conditioning, hot showers and wifi.

For longer stays there is a three-day surf-and-stay package and a six-day surf camp, which includes six nights' accommodation, a daily lesson, surf theory, video coaching, daily breakfast, two dinners and use of all equipment, priced from IDR 5 million with a shared bathroom or IDR 7 million in a private air-conditioned room. The camp suits beginners and improvers looking for an uncrowded, low-key alternative to the busy south of Bali.
