Sanur Surf School

Sanur Surf School is based on Jalan Pantai Merta Sari on Bali's sheltered east coast, teaching surfers from complete beginners to advanced riders on Sanur's mellow reef breaks, including Baby Reef and nearby Serangan. Every lesson includes a boat transfer out to the waves, so students skip the long paddle and get straight to surfing.

Surf lessons last two hours and are taught one-to-one or semi-privately, with the surfboard and safety equipment included. The school also sells three-, five- and ten-lesson packages for faster progress, and the calm, shallow conditions make it a popular choice for children and nervous first-timers.

Beyond surfing, the team runs kitesurfing, hydrofoil, kitefoil, wakeboarding, stand-up paddleboarding and snorkelling sessions, plus surfboard rental, so it's a good all-round watersports base for anyone staying in Sanur.
