Kima Surf Camp Seminyak is the Seminyak base of Kima Surf, which also runs camps in Canggu and Uluwatu and in Sri Lanka. The camp is set around a natural stone pool, a second pool, a jacuzzi and a pool bar in a tropical garden, with double and four-bed rooms that each have a bathroom and terrace, plus a co-working space and lounge areas. Seminyak's beach breaks, including Gado-Gado, KuDeTa, Padma and Halfway, are a short walk away, with the restaurants, bars and beach clubs of Seminyak around it.
Surf guiding is included in the room price: Kima runs guided trips seven days a week, twice a day, in small groups split across six experience levels, heading to whichever spots suit the day's swell and wind, from the beach breaks outside the camp to Airport reefs, Balangan, Dreamland, Keramas, Uluwatu and Padang Padang for experienced surfers. Surf theory classes and filmed video analysis run six times a week, and advanced surfers get one boat shuttle to the outer reefs per stay when conditions allow.
Complete beginners are pointed to Kima's five-day Learn-to-Surf course, held at Double Six Beach with one instructor for every two students, pool sessions, theory and video analysis, and boards, lycra and towels provided; it can also be booked by the day without staying at the camp. Shortboards, funshapes and mini-mals can be rented at the camp. Breakfast, a weekly barbecue, daily yoga from Monday to Saturday, free bicycles and the camp vans are included, and airport transfers are free for stays of five nights or more (EUR 25 per person each way otherwise). Room prices depend on dates and are quoted on Kima's website, with a discount that grows with the length of stay; book online or by WhatsApp.
