Semeton Surf Lombok is a locally run surf school and surf camp in Gerupuk village in south Lombok. Semeton means family in Sasak, and the business is run by a local family, with ISA-certified head coach Saban leading a team of locally trained guides who know Gerupuk Bay well.
Private and semi-private lessons start with surf theory and a spot briefing, followed by in-water coaching and a debrief, and include a board, a long-sleeve rash guard and boat transport to the surf spots in the bay. The weekly six-day surf camp adds eight surf sessions, photo analysis, surfskate, drone video and a family dinner on the last night.
The camp costs from IDR 7,900,000 per person with five nights in a shared room at Semeton Surf House, including breakfast and airport transfers, with a private-room option next door and a camp-only option for guests staying elsewhere. The surf house has air-conditioned dorm rooms a few steps from the water, so there are no early transfers to the breaks.
