Surf Camp Lombok is one of the longest-established surf camps on Lombok, operating in the fishing village of Gerupuk on the island's south coast since 2005. Gerupuk Bay holds several breaks, from soft inside waves for beginners to faster reefs at its mouth, and the camp reaches them by boat, with road trips to other south Lombok spots when the swell and conditions suit.
Courses are split by level. Levels 1–2 cover pop-ups, paddling, board handling, reading the sea, safety and etiquette before moving on to green waves; levels 3–4 are aimed at surfers who want to progress on more critical waves. Each day typically includes two surf sessions, theory lessons, video or photo analysis and yoga, taught by an on-site team of western and local coaches. The main programme is a two-week, full-board camp with fixed arrival dates, published at EUR 990, and a shorter three-day course is listed from EUR 250. Accommodation, meals, equipment and the camp's activities are included in the package price.
The camp also runs a kitchen and a beach bar, offers freediving and sailing, and has a skate bowl on site. Outside camp season, usually January and July, it opens for bed and breakfast, and private surf lessons can be arranged at extra cost. Check the camp's website for current dates and prices before booking.
