Nayaka Surf School is a locally owned surf school and camp in Senggigi, on Lombok's quieter west coast, about five minutes' drive from Senggigi harbour and 45 minutes from Bangsal (for the Gili Islands). Its instructors trained at the Lombok tourism school, and the team teaches surfers from complete beginners through to intermediate level, with filmed sessions (camera and drone) and video analysis for students on its Level 2 and Level 3 courses.
Because the Senggigi breaks are over reef, every lesson includes booties or reef shoes along with a board, rash vest or wetsuit top, mineral water and free pick-up within the Senggigi area. A beginner session runs about two hours (theory, beach practice, then two surf sessions with a drink break in between). Published prices are IDR 450,000 per person for a single group lesson (one coach to three students, minimum three people), IDR 1,300,000 for three and IDR 2,600,000 for six sessions; private lessons (one coach per student) are IDR 750,000, IDR 2,200,000 and IDR 4,300,000. Semi-private lessons for two and two-hour private kids' lessons are also offered.
For a longer stay, surf-camp packages from three to seven days bundle lessons, a standard or four-star hotel in Senggigi with breakfast, airport or harbour transfers and a free scooter: the three-day, two-night package starts at IDR 2,950,000 for one person or IDR 3,650,000 for two sharing. The school also runs guided surf trips to Gerupuk in south Lombok and a six-day trip to West Sumbawa, alongside non-surf tours on Lombok and to Komodo. Book by WhatsApp, email or the booking form on its website; a deposit secures the date.
