Doyock Surf School

Doyock Surf School is a locally run surf school based on the sand at Selong Belanak Beach in south-west Lombok, owned by local surfer Doyock. The bay's soft, consistent waves and sandy bottom make it one of the easiest places on the island to learn, and the school focuses on first-timers and intermediate surfers.

Level 1 beginner lessons cost IDR 350,000 per person for a two-hour session, Level 2 lessons for beginners moving on to intermediate cost IDR 550,000, and a shorter one-hour session costs IDR 250,000. Both private and group lessons are available, and surfboards and safety equipment are included in every lesson.

Children are welcome with parental guidance, and no previous experience is needed. Lessons can be booked directly at the beach or by WhatsApp, and the school also rents surfboards to independent surfers.
