Macaronis Resort is widely regarded as the finest land-based surf resort in the Mentawai Islands, situated on Siniai Island in the southern Mentawai archipelago, directly across the lagoon from one of the world's great waves. Daily speedboat transfers run to Macaronis, a magnificent left-hander that works on all tides and almost any wind condition, as well as to a range of surrounding breaks including Macaronis Right, Greenbush, Bat Cave, and Silabu Left. The resort also runs its own boat, the Surfalot, for trips to breaks further afield.
