Dare To Surf Khao Lak

Dare To Surf runs its Khao Lak base from Bang Niang in Khuk Khak, teaching on the area's long, uncrowded beach breaks. It is led by head coach Pat, an ISA-certified instructor and competitive surfer with more than ten years of teaching experience, and also operates a winter school in Hua Hin.

Every programme keeps a ratio of no more than two students per instructor. The Try Surf lesson combines 15 to 30 minutes of shore basics with an hour in the water, and there is a Fun Surf session for experienced surfers, a Surf and Snap option with photography, an Up Skills session with video analysis and a 3-day, 6-hour programme. Lessons include the board, all-day board use afterwards, rash guard, towel and shower facilities, with shuttle transfers available.

The Khao Lak surf season runs from May to October, although the office is open year-round for occasional off-season swells. Dare To Surf suits beginners as well as intermediate and advanced surfers wanting coaching.
